I built (and now maintain) the website for the Wrexham Carnival of Words, Wrexham’s literary festival. First held in 2015, the Carnival continues to attract writers and book lovers alike, and covers many genres including crime fiction, fantasy, poetry, nature, children’s fiction and historical fiction, to name but a very few.
More than just a traditional literary festival, the event is aimed at everybody who has ever had an interest in books or writing. It’s geared towards local families, and the focus is very much on fun and entertainment; the whole community joins in, including schools and local businesses.
In addition to looking after the website, I take an active role in several events: I appear in the annual Murder Mystery evening, and on our Calon Talks Books radio show we are often lucky enough to interview authors attending the Carnival.
Next year the Wrexham Carnival of Words will run from Saturday 21 – Saturday 28 April 2018. Check out the website for more information as it becomes available.
