I attend a monthly poetry workshop (Newport Stanza) in my home town of Newport, South Wales, and occasionally read out my poetry at local open mic nights. Three of my poems were published in the Stanza group’s first anthology; a second anthology is planned for 2026.
I am also interested in incorporating my poetry into my artwork. For the ‘Cyber Critters’ exhibition in January 2025, I included a haiku on the reverse of each of my photographs, and installed the pieces at an angle from the wall to display both sides.
Other experiments
During a break from the Stanza group, I enjoyed composing ‘found poetry’, which either manifested directly within my early collage explorations or as ‘fridge poetry’: the latter was created either with real magnets on my fridge or via an online fridge poetry generator.
