It’s been two years since I created my first mash-up of William Shakespeare and The Walking Dead; so, as it’s Shakespeare’s birthday today, I thought it was high time I pulled together another one!
As mentioned in my last post, I’m convinced that if Shakespeare were alive today he’d be working in television; and The Walking Dead – with its blood and guts and power struggles – feels like a natural home for the Bard’s talents.
Last time I matched Shakespeare quotes to images from TWD that seemed to fit the words at face value. This time I’ve gone slightly deeper, and in some of the pics below I’ve attempted to pair quotes and images where the sentiments relate more to what the character in the scene is actually going through. You may therefore need to be familiar with the characters in question to appreciate the full impact!
